What to do on a rainy day in Wellington

Don’t let the rain put you off of enjoying a city to it’s full potential. Wellington is known for it’s frequent windy gales and rainy climate making those clear sunny days even more valued but being here on a dull day is all just part of the Wellngton experience:

1. Warm up with a coffee from one of the many cafe’s Wellington has to offer. If you really want to indulge yourself visit Ciocco Chocolaterie and Espresso Bar
   (11 Tory Street) for a Chili Hot Chocolate guaranteed to heat you up!
2. Take the opportunity to visit one of Courtenay Place’s Theatre and movie houses, sit inside away from the weather and lose yourself in someone else’s stories.
3. Purchase yourself a funky umbrella and gumboots (Wellington Boots for all the Brits!) and soldier on looking delisiciously stylish!
4. Get creative with photography! Use the weather to your advantage and capture the puddles, splashes and moods gloomy days can bring.
5. And the top thing which applies to any rainy day, any city, any time…. UPDATE YOUR FACEBOOK/TWITTER/BLOG/SKYPE MUM!!! Bring your loved ones up to date with your travel and prepare yourself for more adventure!
