Weekly Activities for Backpackers organised at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers, Auckland
This week has just dawned on Auckland…so the crew at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers & Bar have a week of daily activities to keep you busy, and to give you a taste of our beautiful country and hospitality.
Most of us when we first arrive in a new city or country have grand ideas on what we want to see and do, but often when travelling alone this is no fun on your own, so the fatty crew have organised daily activities to get you all out of bed, and give you a chance to meet some new friends here in Auckland….maybe to have a cheecky beer with after.
So for the Activities:
Monday 14th- Get to know Auckland. This trip explores Auckland city, a beautiful local park and being able to experience the local culture and heritage at the Auckland War memorial musuem! Meetting time 12.30pm at the fat camel reception
Tuesday 15th- Auckland Bungy & Harbour Bridge walk. $120 for a bungy, with a free walk out to the bungy pod. After the bungy, we head to the Auckland fish market for kiwi fish and chips!!! YUM…and after head back to the camel for a cheaky pint! Free Beer, T-shirt and transport for jumpers. 1.30pm departure, meet at the fat camel reception.
Wedensday 16th- Vino trip…!! also known as thank god it’s wedensday. Here we visit 3 vinyards, sample over 22 wins and complementry wine at Matua Valley Vinyard….On the way home we stop for a play at a beautiful west coast beach Muriwai. Only $35…this is one trip not to miss. Meet at the fat camel bar at 10am! why not start early its mid week and your on holiday.
Thursday 17th- Stray beach BBQ. Here we trip out to Mission Bay for a day at the beach. For only $2 you recieve transport, food and activities. If you are looking for value for money this is the trip for you…..!!! Meet at the fat camel reception at 12pm noon.
Friday 18th- Day trip to Rangitoto Island… For $25 you receive a return ferry ticket, a guided treck to the summit and creator and also a chance to explore the lava caves…meet at the fat camel reception at 11.30am.
