Chinese New Year – 12th Feb – 28th Feb
Celebrations for the arrival of the Year of the Tiger bursts into Sydney from 12th to the 28th of this month. Over 60 events are scheduled for the festive period including the Twilight Parade, involving 2700 performers, markets in Belmore Park, Dragon Boat races in Darling Harbour and many arcrobatic, dance and musical performances. This colourful extravaganza is sure to captivate your imaginations.

Mardi Gras – 19th Feb – 6th March
The Sydney Mardi Gras Festival kicks off on the 19th of Feb til the 6th of March, with the focal point of the festival being the big Parade down Oxford Street on the 27th of Feb. With huge events organised for the carnival from film festivals to the craziest parties in the world, there should be something to entertain everyone.
Good Vibrations – 13th Feb
This 7 year old Music Festival takes over Centennial park on Saturday 13th of Feb with a huge range of outstanding live performers including The Killers, Basement Jaxx and Armand Van Helden. With a well varied list of acts encompassing a wide range of music genres, this top Australian pop day out never fails to impress.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo – 4th – 7th Feb
The unique Edinburgh Military Tattoo brings it’s talents to Sydney Football Stadium from the 4th – 7th of Feb to Celebrate is 60th Anniversary with its largest ever production using military bands, Drummers and performers from all over the waorl. All of this will be performed in front of an amazing million dollar replica of Edinburgh Castle.
World’s Largest Short Film Festival – 21st Feb
This free event showcases the finalists of this years Tropfest. The festival is a promotion of short films being judged by international film experts, directors and actors. The films will be shown in the Domain, starting at 3.00pm on the 21st of the month with the films commencing at 7.00pm. It’s reccomended to get there early with some food and drink due to the popularity of the event and the amount of seating space
AC/DC Concert – 20th Feb
AC/DC, the greatest rock and roll band on the planet, who have sold over 200 million records worldwide, return home to Australia in February 2010 as part of the Black Ice World Tour.
AC/DC will play their first Australian Tour since 2001 at the ANZ Stadium and is sure to be one of the most rocking concerts Australia will have ever seen, with the band estimated to had 1,5 million speakers in their Rig. Enough to make anyones ears bleed.
