A few days ago as we all know was Christmas Day, so Merry Christmas Everybody. I hope the whether was slightly better with you than it was here at Sydney. It was not really how I thought Christmas Day would be in Australia before I left to come on my travels.

The idea in my head was a BBQ on Bondi Beach and drinking some ice cold beer in the glorious sunshine.  Unfortunately the reality was cloud and rain, but this did not stop the hostel from partying and having a good time. Most of the Westend backpackers attended ‘Sunburnt Christmas’, held in the pavilion on Bondi beach. Live DJ’s, lots of Dancing, and copious amounts of Christmas drinks turned this into a Christmas I will never forget. Even if I were a little like being back in Britain during Glastonbury.

After the party we headed back home to Westend backpackers Hostel for a warm cup of tea (maybe with a dash of Irish-ness)and some christmas songs played in our Common room. What a Day.
