Nomads Auckland Backpackers are turning Green! Here are our top tips!

Nomads Auckland Backpackers Hostel is turning green.. Well not literally but we’ve decided it about time we did something to help and keep New Zealands clean green image!

We’re getting recycling bins put EVERYWHERE.

We’re putting coke bottles in our toilets (Yeah i don’t really get it either but apparantly it helps to save water!)

Every last sunday of the month were going to go as a group (Backpackers and Staff) to go plant some trees on Motutapu Island (which is a beautiful island in the Hauraki Gulf).

There’s also some was you guys can help:

Turn off all lights and power when not using them.

Save Water! Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth and have short showers!

Take the bus, train or even walk or bike. You’ll see alot more and get a bit of fitness at the same time!

Be a tidy traveller and take you rubbish with you.

Recycle! Bring all of you global gossip & food vouchers to reception where we can re-use them!

Have any old clothes you no longer want? Hand them down to reception and well hand them onto charity!
