All those late night outs and early starts for action-packed days starting to get you feeling a bit ragged? Why not take a couple days to enjoy Cape Tribulation and enjoy the local’s motto of “Chill out..Not flat out”. Thats right while you can add a fully packed day trip up to the world heritage site..the best idea is to do a 3 day, 2 night tour / trip and just kick back at Cape Tribulation.

Up in Cape Tribulation you will finding stunning beaches that are sandwiched between the magnificent Daintree Rainforest and wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. While you won’t be able to swim at the beaches due to jellyfish this time of year the water is warm and not that refreshing anyway! However you can enjoy a short trek through the jungle to check out some great fresh water holes that are crystal clear and very cool and refreshing.

Now for those of you who are still looking for some action, Cape Tribulation definitely isn’t boring…from jungle surfing to kayaking to horseback rides or even reef trips..you’ll definitely find something to do. For those looking to relax then sleep in, catch some sun either on the beach or by the pool. Enjoy some tropical fruit tasting or a of the ice creamery. And everyone will get some thrill from a night walk through the rainforest..maybe you’ll be able to spot some of the rainforest critters more active at night but everyone will get to see the awesome fireflies, flourescent mosses, and the glowworms reminiscient of the movie Avatar.

Stay at Cape Tribulation Ferntree Backpackers Lodge & Resort to fully enjoy the trip with a rainforest cafe, two swimming pools, and their own day spa its definitely got all the amenities to help you kick back and relax. Its just a short stroll to the local store and PK Jungle Bar but the serene lodge style accommodation will definitely help rejuvenate you.

So if you are starting to feel a bit worn out from the action of Cairns enjoy a relaxing getaway at Cape Tribulation. Just come see the crew here at Nomads Cairns Backpackers Resort to check out your options and book some awesome chill out time.
