Just got back from a few days away at Mangawhai Heads to escape the city of Auckland for a few days. Mangawhai Heads is a small coastal town located half way between Auckland and Whangerai. We chose to rent a batch but there were many other accomodation options available.

Well its been a fun week at Nomads Cairns Backpackers Hostel and Serpent Backpackers Bar! We started the week right by winning the inter-hostel volleyball competition. Yep, that’s right, despite all the talk from the Rhinobar crew, Cairns backpackers continue to rule the sand!
