Nomads Fat Camel Wins "Best Hostel in New Zealand"

Nomads Fat Camel was announced winner “Best Hostel in New Zealand” at the inaugural Golden Backpack Awards last week. The Golden Backpack Awards are Australia and New Zealand’s first and only dedicated awards program for the independent travel sector.

Run by TNT Magazine, the Golden Backpacks saw a national & Trans-Tasman campaign in print and at www.tntdownunder.com to gather votes from consumers in more than 30 categories. More than 3,500 votes were received via the website, email and forms in the magazine and in various locations across the region.

Nomads Fat Camel, is located in central Auckland and offers the backpacker a safe, secure and fun travelers community. In addition to Best Hostel in New Zealand, Nomads Fat Camel also took out the highly commended (runner up) award for best bar in New Zealand.

Nomads World Hotels were also successful winners of “Best Hostel in Victoria” for Nomads Industry and highly commended for “Best Hostel in NSW” for Nomads Westend.
