The Camel doesn't get the opportunity for a holiday very often but he wants to be one of the first to stay at Nomads Queenstown Backpackers, due to open next month.

Apart from reminding the backpackers who stay in the hostels to help reduce Nomads carbon footprint in the following ways:

• Only charge phones and laptops for as long as it takes, rather than leaving them plugged in all night,
• Switch off lights if you're the last to leave,
• Turn the tap off while brushing your teeth,
• Recycle paper, plastic, tin etc,

Nomads Hostels in New Zealand have now also arranged to sell the most environmentally friendly bottled water that's out there.

Well its only a few weeks away (touch wood) and the brand new Nomads Queenstown backpackers will be opening. Everyone at Nomads is trying really hard to make Nomads Queenstown the best hostel around, so in an effort to get things right we thought we would ask our customers to help us out.

Nomads have just announced that their brand new hostel, currently in the construction phase is due to open in Queenstown in July '09.

Nomads Queenstown will be a "flashpackers hostel", meaning a high standard of accommodation and facilities but also communal areas to meet and relax with other backpackers and travelers.
