Hello from Southern Cross backpackers

A Big Hello and Happy New Year from Southern Cross Backpackers in Beautiful 1770 Queensland! We are new members of the Nomads network and are really happy to be on board!

Just a little update on what has been happening here, we have completed a new undercover entertainment area which is another huge area for our Friday Nights. We've also just finished our stage, so in 2012 we will regularly be having live music which is very exciting.

Town of 1770 / Agnes Water has become a must-see destination for guests travelling both north and south along the east coast of Australia. Our beautiful hostel and town has a lot to offer; for example:

• We have 3 hour surf lessons for $17
• The famous Scooteroo Tour
• Kayaking
• and day tours out to Lady Musgrave
• and that's just to name a few....

We are looking forward to working with everyone within the Nomads network and to welcome all our guests in 2012 who are travelling this way!
