Most people think that there are only two activities you can do in Noosa, tan your front and tan your back. But that couldn't be more wrong! Not only is there heaps of really cool things to do in Noosa it's also very cheap!

So here's my list of 20 things to do in Noosa under $20, I call it my 20 under 20- enjoy!

    1 - Noosa National Park walk - This point actually gives you at least 5 things to do as there are 5 different tracks through this very famous National Park. I would really recommend taking a picnic lunch and doing the coastal track where you can swim as well.Cost – FREE!

    2 - Mangrove walk - Near Aldi supermarket is a walk where if you keep an eye out you will see tonnes of animals and maybe even a turtle. Cost - FREE

    3 - Body boarding - Surfing can be a load of fun but unfortunately it can be out of budget sometimes. So for a bit of fun in the sun grab a body board from the reception desk at Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel. Cost – FREE!

    4 - Lookout!!! No its not a warning! The Noosa lookout walk is amazing especially at sunset.Cost- free free free!

    5 - BBQ - grab some friends, grab some food and head down to the Noosa River or Noosa woods for a BBQ! Most bbq's in Noosa are free, but some are for a small fee. Cost Free - $3

    6 - Bike ride - Grab a bike and ride along the river, LUSH! Cost- $19 for 2 hours

    7 - Ferry - Seeing Noosa is great, seeing Noosa along the river system is amazing! For $19.50 you can do an unlimited day pass but trips start from $6.50

    8 - Farmers Market - Every Sunday near the Aldi supermarket is the Noosa Farmers Market. Loads of fresh produce, yummy breads and delish sweets the farmers markets are great! Plus you're supporting our local farmers, what could be better!

    9 - Noosa river - Grab a towel and chill out on the river. If you're a fitness buff there is also FREE exercise equipment. The river is also a great place for a sunrise. Cost - FREE

    10 - Sunset Ferry – The Noosa Ferry converts to a very cool sunset ferry @ night. BYO booze and they'll even supply glasses and ice! Lush! Take a trip through the River along the Noosa Woods and Noosa Sound as the sun goes down. Cost $19.50

    11 - Koala Spotting – Walk through the National Park and see how many Koalas you can spot! Entry to the National park is totally free and Nomads Noosa run several free buses from the Hostel to the National Park too!

    12 - Go Fishing – Pop down to the shops and grab some fishing gear and catch yourself some dinner! A hand reel from Big W or Target Country

    13 - Tewantin markets – The Tewantin Markets are on every Sunday in Tewantin. Getting to Tewantin is very easy with local transport running every 15-25 min or alternatively you can also get there via the Noosa Ferry.

    14 - Fish and chips on the beach - Grab some friends together and grab some fish and chips down on the beach or the river. The great thing about Noosa is the Fish is fresh and cheap too, and there is definitely no shortage of fish and chip shops!!! Cost- Couple of bucks!

    15 - Beach volleyball - grab a ball and have a punt. Nomads Noosa has its own Beach volleyball court on site or alternatively you can head down the Main beach for a game. Cost- Free~!

    16 - Live music - Nothing like having a nice cold beer and listening to some tunes! Nomads Noosa and KB's bar and restaurant have live music every Wednesday and a live DJ Friday and Saturday nights. On Sundays we also have either Karaoke, a live DJ or a Sunday Session with live band. Cost- Free free free free!

    17 - Movies – If, like me you are itching to see the new Harry Potter movie (OMG Deathly Hallows ROCKS!!!) or any other movie for that matter, Noosa has a local cinema that is super dooper comfy~! Grab your ticket for $15 or on a Tuesday $9 (discounts for students apply and surcharge applies to 3d movies) and don't forget the popcorn!

    18 - Rock climbing - Noosa is lucky enough to have an indoor rock climbing wall! 65 Individual Climbs, Fully Featured and Textural Wall and a 15 Meter Climbing Height yeah! Climbs start from $10 and multi climb passes are available. Cost from $10

    19 - Dolphin spotting - Chill out in the Noosa National Park and see how many dolphins you can spot! With area's like “Dolphin Point” you are bound to see loads!!! Cost- Free!

    20 - Eat! Every body likes to get into some munchies, and Noosa is home to some of the cheapest, freshest and tastiest food in Australia! !
